Description:

Oregon is one of those lucky states that is gorgeous from its coast to its inland borders. Smith Rock is evidence of this - a rocky Eden in Oregon's High Desert. Giant monolithic cliffs, calderas, and chambers are all formed from volcanic activity - made of lava basalt from millions of years ago. This is a favorite hiking spot for people of various ages and skill levels and a nice desert segue after seeing the Oregon oceans and forests.
