Workers Tap & Cafe opened in 2022 inside a restored 1904 Victorian house in Portland’s Buckman neighborhood and was founded as a worker owned cooperative where profits and decisions are shared among the staff. It quickly became a community hub that hosts organizers, readers, and locals who enjoy its upstairs library focused on labor history and social justice. Guests come for its rotating selection of craft beers, ciders, and espresso drinks, along with snacks like fresh popped popcorn. The on site food cart La Tehuana #2 adds to the experience with Oaxacan style dishes and popular vegan options.
