AMOR Sculpture

Installed in 2015, this sculpture is the trademark style of artist Robert Indiana. The red Didone type font in bold with the O slanted to the left are common features of Indiana's work around the country. Indiana was most popular during the 1970s but had a resurgence with his wildly popular sculptures. "Amor," Spanish for "love," is a tribute to the changing demographics of the country in which dozens of languages can be heard daily in a single city. (Submitted by Kristen Wahlen)
