The concept for Bitchin Kitten Brewery had been brewing in the minds of Michael and Brigitte Crosson for two decades, inspired by their shared passions for beer and cats. Michael, a beer enthusiast, and Brigitte, a devoted cat lover, named the brewery after Brigitte's cat, Shadow, who earned the "bitchin' kitten" nickname after an accidental and unpleasant encounter with a White Russian cocktail. As Michael honed his homebrewing skills and Brigitte fostered numerous cats, they nurtured the dream of opening a brewery. In 2019, after Michael’s Bitchin' Kitten beer won second place in a Craft Brewers competition, they finally decided to turn their long-held vision into reality.
