Description:

The Blue Bell Inn, founded in 1743 in what is now Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, began as a colonial tavern known as The White House and gained historical significance when George Washington and his troops stayed there in 1777. A bell tower added in 1796 inspired its current name, and by 1840 the surrounding village adopted the Blue Bell name as well. Today the inn is celebrated for its modern American cuisine, especially its seafood offerings such as Chilean sea bass, grilled Atlantic salmon, scallops, seafood pasta, and a popular raw bar with oysters, crab, and lobster.
