Description:

The historic district of Fricks Lock is a more modern type of ghost town. While many towns across the USA were abandoned due to decreased mining activity in the 1800s and 1900s, this ghost town came about after the nuclear power plant was built. Residents left soon after in the late 1900s. The surrounding village with buildings that date back to the 18th century is all private property. Be forewarned - trespassers are in danger of being prosecuted.
