Description:

Built in the style of a Low German farmhouse this mid-18th century brick and limestone tavern is a spectacular example of skilled carpentry-meets-architecture - the work of Martin Eichelberger. The structure, and its history, call to mind clandestine political meetings in the night among horse-riding, tricorn-wearing men. The tavern is part of a historical experience here which includes the Colonial Court House, the General Gates House, and the Barnett Bob Log House.
