Description:

The creepy hand print on jail cell 17s wall left by a hanged man that can never be washed away will set the tone for the Old Jail Museum. This is where the seven Molly Maguires were put to death! (The Molly Maguires was a secret organization, composed mainly of Irish Catholics, that started one of the first labor movements in the country who were found guilty of murdering coal management and tampering with equipment.) Some say there are still strange happenings occurring at his old jail. This jail operated well into the 1980s before closing its doors to criminals! Don't forget to check out the kitchen, warden quarters, women cells, dungeon, and the gift shop. When you arrive at the hanging area, take a lot of pictures - you just may catch some of those ghostly orbs! The museum is only open from Memorial Day Weekend through October. Closed Wednesdays.
