Description:
This statue of an American Revolution-era Renaissance man stands in the Public Ledger building which was once the home of a daily newspaper founded in 1836. Almost 30 years later the larger-than-life statue of Ben Franklin was erected as a tribute to his activities as a journalist and statesman. The total height, not including the 3-foot base, is 10'6".
