Description:

Named for its irregular dimensions, this structure is just over 60 feet on the south side and almost 55 feet on the north side. It measures 22 feet and 2 inches high. Construction started in 1833 with a design that would accommodate a bend in the Cambria and Indiana Turnpike. While you're here stop at the nearby Lemon House historic site; both are integral parts to the history of the Allegheny Portage Railroad.
