Description:

The Starrucca Viaduct, located in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, is an impressive stone arch bridge completed in 1848. Spanning 1,086 feet and reaching a height of 100 feet, it was built to carry the Erie Railroad over the Starrucca Creek. Notable for its intricate stonework, the viaduct exemplifies 19th-century engineering and is one of the oldest and largest stone viaducts in the United States.
