Description:
Strites' Orchard, founded in 1843 by the Strite family in Harrisburg, began with Joseph C. Strite planting fruit trees and vegetables, which was expanded by his son Earl to over 250 acres. Earl's business acumen led to the establishment of a market in 1950, and his sons, Joe and Tom, continued the growth by introducing greenhouse operations and receiving the Master Farmer title. In 1994, the farm's modern market and bakery were built, and by 2011, they launched a CSA program to enhance community connections. Today, Jon and Matt, along with their children Molly, Mason, Zach, and Edie, continue to uphold the family's legacy of quality and tradition while managing the farm's growth and innovation.
