Description:
The Big Coffee Pot has a long history. Built in 1927, the 18-foot high coffee pot was originally a luncheonette attached to a gas station. In 1937, it was changed into a bar. But time takes its toll and the coffee pot became old and worn. The people of Bedford, however, weren't about to discard the Big Pot so preservationists saved the Coffee Pot in 2003. The Coffee Pot was then sold to the Bedford County Fair Association for one dollar and in 2004 moved it across the street to the fairgrounds for restoration - and that is where it sits today!
