The Public Ledger Building

Saves: 8
Check-ins: 24
The Georgian Revival-style building with its gracefully arched ground floor windows and Doric columns was built in 1924 for the Republican-leaning daily newspaper of the same name. Circulation ceased in 1942. Today it's a hodgepodge of office buildings and residential apartments. As it's located in Philadelphia, there are plenty of historical landmarks within walking distance, including the Liberty Bell. (Submitted by Shirley Beauchemin Thurston)
