Started by Bill and Salie Utz in Hanover, PA in 1921, Utz Quality Foods, Inc. was born because of the Utz's dissatisfaction with the potato chip quality of that time. Salie used her knowledge of Pennsylvania Dutch cooking and applied it to make potato chips under the brand name of "Hanover Home Brand Potato Chips". The rest is history. Utz has been in business for over 78 years and the company's steady growth is a testament to the quality of Utz Potato Chips. A self-guided tour of Utz Snacks familiarizes you with a 30-minute process of transforming a raw spud into a tasty potato chip!
