Description:
This 10-foot high steel sculpture of the giant prehistoric herbivore was painstakingly welded together piece by piece and placed here in homage to the real ones that once roamed the area during the last Ice Age. Named Ganesh, he was erected in 2017 with a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. At 3,000 pounds the Ganesh's weight is a mere fraction of the 12,000-pound creatures that rest at the bottom of Pennsylvania's largest natural lake.
