Description:

The seventh state house to be built in Rhode Island, this current building was constructed between 1895 and 1904. The elegant Neoclassical structure made it to the big screen - you may recognize it from "Amistad" and Disney's "Underdog." Guided tours run weekdays from 9 AM to 3 PM where you'll get an eye-opening glimpse of the sumptuous materials used to create the building - marble, 24k gold trim, mahogany, and world-class portraits of famous Americans.
