This historic landmark, built in 1870, is about 10-minute boat ride from beautiful Newport. While you can easily spend a few hours there you may want to make a weekend of it by booking a few nights in the picturesque structure. Staying in the lighthouse means you'll be a guest "keeper" and will learn to perform some of the maintenance duties that were required of those who filled this station.
