Description:
This historic site was one of the first water-powered mills to spin cotton. In 1793, the mill was built and spun its first skein of cotton soon thereafter. The mill, which now operates as a museum, shows visitors how things were done in the infancy of the Industrial Revolution. Powered by Pawtucket Falls, this mill is said to have started the Industrial Revolution in America.
