South East Lighthouse

Located on Block Island, this red-brick lighthouse was built in 1875 and deactivated in the 1990s. It is known as much for its beauty in design as it is for its functionality. The museum and gift shop on the ground floor of the tower are open during the summer allowing visitors to the top for a fee of ten dollars per person.
