Camden Battlefield

The Camden Battlefield and Longleaf Pine Preserve in Camden, SC is a historically significant site where the Battle of Camden took place during the American Revolutionary War. This battle was a significant engagement between the British forces, commanded by General Lord Cornwallis, and the American Continental Army, led by General Horatio Gates. The battle resulted in a decisive British victory and marked a setback for the American forces.Today, the preserve offers visitors the opportunity to explore the battlefield through walking trails and interpretive signage.
