Description:

Hauntingly lovely, this old sacred place was built in the mid 1700s for Christian worshipers who could not make the long trek to Beaufort for services. The structure was burned in a forest fire and now sits forlornly under trees, sun dappled in the daytime. The church ruins, while serene in the daytime, are eerie at night - when the spirits that haunt the grounds come out to play.
