Description:

The Cheraw Lyceum Museum in Cheraw, South Carolina, is housed in a Greek Revival building originally constructed around 1820 as a chancery court for the Old Cheraws Judicial District. Over the years the structure has served as a court, a library, Confederate and Union quartermaster headquarters, and now houses exhibits showcasing Cheraw’s local history. Visitors can view artifacts and learn about the region’s past free of charge, with access available through the Cheraw Chamber of Commerce or by appointment.
