Colonel Jack Van Loan Monument

Saves: 6
Check-ins: 8
The lifelike bronze statue honors its namesake who was a USAF pilot and 6-year POW of Hanoi Hilton. The background structure represents the place where Jack Van Loan spent those six horrific years until he finally came home to the U.S. in 1973. If you look through the small, square barred window of the door, you'll see the photo of a gaunt prisoner. (Submitted by Allen Von Plinsky)
