Description:

A major battlefield during the American Revolution, this is where the battle of the same name was fought and won by the Continental Army. It was seen as a decisive victory, intrinsic to the overall defeat over the British. Before the war cattle and horses were raised on the pastures. The park has a small museum as well as many interpretive signs marking important spots. Hours are 9 to 5 daily, but the museum is open only from Wednesday through Saturday.
