#38 of South Carolina's Gamecocks football program is memorialized in bronze. Recruited out of high school, George Rogers won the 1980 Heisman Trophy and then went on to have an NFL career with the New Orleans Saints and the Washington Redskins. The life-sized statue unveiled on September 12, 2015 stands on a park bench in the Spring Brooks Plaza at Williams-Brice Stadium.
