Description:
Henry’s on the Market began in the late 1800s as a corner grocery store before becoming a restaurant in 1932, which makes it the oldest continuously operating restaurant in Charleston. Over the years it grew from a simple beer parlor serving boiled shrimp and deviled crab into a well-known Lowcountry dining spot with a music hall, whiskey lounge, and rooftop bar. Today it remains a Charleston favorite, drawing guests with classics like creamy she crab soup, shrimp and grits, and jumbo lump crab cakes.
