Description:
Built in 1841 this Greek Revival structure is the beginning of the City Market which extends for four city blocks. It's the second building to stand here; the original Masonic Hall was destroyed by a fire in 1838. The museum was established by the Daughters of the Confederacy in 1899 and also goes by the name "Confederate Museum." On display are lots of relics of the Civil War such as Confederate money, guns, flags, and uniforms. Admission is $7 per person; hours are 10-4 Tuesday through Saturday.
