Description:

In the 1990s artist Richard Lane painted a mural of Ra, the Egyptian Sun god, on this remnant of an old railroad trestle. Ra is accompanied by mysterious symbols and hieroglyphs, some of which translate to Beatles song titles. Others have not yet been translated. Ra sits atop a scarab, also an important symbol in Egyptian mythology. Ra's obelisk is a part of Olympia Park where you can find a hiking trail, playground, and picnic facilities.
