Clean trails, bathrooms, and a gorgeous amphitheater make the surrounding park a favorite among locals. In 2012 the spillway got a complete overhaul with an ADA accessible bridge above. There are a variety of activities available such as fishing, kayaking, and pedal boats. The spillway itself features several manmade steps down which the water of the Sesquicentennial Lake flows.
