This Greek Revival building was constructed in 1855 in the Antebellum period. However, it wasn't completed until 1907. Blue granite which is the state stone of South Carolina was used in its construction. The building, which is over a hundred years old, is still home to the executive and legislative branches of the South Carolina government.
