The Battery

This defensive seawall is named for a Civil War-era coastal artillery battery at its site. It's also known for the gorgeous Antebellum mansions that line the promenade along the seawall. Beautiful landscaping, flowers, and a sea view make it a popular tourist destination. A nearby shopping district on Broad Street within walking distance will keep you occupied after visiting the Battery.
