Description:

This fun mural is a "tromp-l'oeil," an optical illusion of a rough-hewn tunnel leading to another world. In 1975 artist Blue Sky was inspired when he saw this alien portal in a dream. With a lot of perseverance he finally got the bank who owned the building to agree to this creative experiment. It does look frighteningly realistic - you may be tempted to drive right through. Just know you'd be hitting the side of a building and not traveling to another dimension! (Submitted by Anthony Von Plinsky)
