Description:
Just like the town of 5,000 people, this water tower has more beneath the surface than meets the eye. It was built in 1915 and uses a standpipe system. But it was also used as a county jail and the prisoners were held in the six small cells. Legend has it that weary, stranded travelers bunked down for the night in these cells although those stories can't be substantiated.
