Description:

Update: The sculpture is being moved after a new owner purchased the property. New location TBD.

This giant, silver-colored fire hydrant was built from old piping materials by iconic South Carolina artist Blue Sky. It leans to one side but this was done on purpose. It is supposed to look like it is in a constant state of breaking down and repair. The surrounding cautionary fence which is part of the artwork probably has a dual purpose with keeping people out. The best time to take pictures is in the early morning when you're guaranteed that other people won't be photo-bombing your photos.
