Description:
Many people visiting the Badlands usually opt to drive the Loop Road and enjoy the views either by getting out at every overlook or enjoying the views from within the comfort of your car. The Big Badlands Overlook is a lightly trafficked, 0.2-mile out-and-back trail used primarily for walking and nature trips. The path is suitable for all skill levels who enjoy seeing a lot of wildlife which is commonly seen on all loop trails. This scenic pullout features sweeping vistas of some steep, jagged formations on the eastern portions of the Badlands. On clear days you can see Eagle Nest Butte in the southeast.
