Ron Dyvig, the founder of Badlands Observatory, personally designed and fabricated all the optics, including grinding and polishing the mirror for the 26" Newtonian Reflector. With a lifelong passion for astronomy, he has devoted countless sleepless nights to scanning the night skies and pursuing all things astronomical.
