Badlands Wilderness Overlook

On the Badlands Wilderness Overlook in Wall, South Dakota, view the eroding Badlands formations as they are now, thinning out and disappearing to the west and forming the prairie. This overlook is a beautiful stop not too far off the main highway where you can see some bison and prairie dogs. The bison are not shy of roads, vehicles, or people, so stay a safe distance from them. If you have good weather, consider spending the entire day here and taking in the beautiful night sky which is perfect for stargazing.
