Burns Basin Overlook

Saves: 14
Check-ins: 8
Wilson Burns raised sheep in this area during the early 20th century and this overlook is named in his honor. This site overlooks his old homestead. Back in the day a freshwater spring was the rare feature that kept this operation going. Deep wells would be required now to reach freshwater. You'll find a 0.2-mile out-and-back trail located near Wall, South Dakota. This moderate trail used for hiking and nature trips delivers the opportunity to see wildlife. The views on this overlook are fantastic, and you can see for miles.
