"Sue" by John Lopez

Named after the real T-rex that was discovered about an hour away from John Lopez's home, this scrap-metal sculpture was fashioned with meticulous detail. The excavators of the original Sue even advised him on anatomy and posture. The older Sue which is also the largest and best preserved T-rex discovered found a new home in the renowned Museum of Natural History in Chicago. Lopez's version still remains in her hometown where she was created in 2008. (Submitted by Bryan Luoma)
