Description:

Kevin Costner invites you to explore the history predating Hickock. Inspired by his experiences with the Lakota People during the filming of "Dances with Wolves," Ta'Tanka highlights the symbiotic relationship between the Lakota Nation and the North American Plains Bison. The centerpiece of Ta'Tanka is the world's third-largest bronze sculpture, comprising 17 pieces: 14 bison pursued by three Lakota riders on bareback. This artwork vividly portrays the earliest and most effective method of hunting bison, known as the bison jump.
