Bear Spring Furnace

Bear Spring was built in the mid 1800s and produced 2,000 tons of metal. This particular furnace was built after the Civil War to replace the previous one destroyed by Union troops. It finally ceased production in the early 1900s. After 130 years the furnace is worn down but it still holds strong.
