Burgess Falls

A gorgeous 250-foot cascade waterfall descends in a wide, foamy curtain, making it one of the best nature photo opps in the state. It's also a great place for some exercise - people love to kayak at the bottom of the falls. To get there take Route 111 to Burgess Falls Road and follow that for approximately 7 miles. You'll see the parking lot for the trailhead. The trail to the falls, which is about 1/2 mile from the parking lot, can be a bit rough for the average hiker. (Submitted by Christy Johnson)

We kayaked to it! Docked, went for swim and jumped off rocks. Easy paddle
