Ephraim Bales Cabin is a historic log cabin located in Gatlinburg, TN. It's believed to have been built in the early 1800s by Ephraim Bales who was one of the first settlers in the area. The cabin is made of hand-hewn logs and features a traditional Appalachian design. It has a single room with a stone fireplace and there's a loft area for additional sleeping quarters. The cabin's roof is made of wooden shingles. Today, the Ephraim Bales Cabin is open to visitors as part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
