Front Yard Buddha

Probably built within the last 15 years, this giant stone Buddha is perched on a brick pedestal in the front yard of Henry Chu's home. Being on a corner makes the fat prophet very visible to passersby. Although unusual, the statue is actually an elegant adornment and very normal in a neighborhood with front-yard flamingoes, St. Francis statues, and garden gnomes that grace other homes.
