Description:

Built in the 1950s, this log cabin was built to look like the tavern that John Crockett, Davy Crockett's father, established in 1794. It is located on the land that the tavern and Davy Crockett's boyhood home once stood. Springtime is probably the best season to visit; the irises are out in full bloom and the cabin is surrounded by green woods and meadows. The museum with its genuine artifacts shows you an authentic view of Davy's life and how he became a famed hunter.
