Lost Cove Ghost Town

Many ghost towns are located on dusty, scant plains but Lost Cove is slowly decaying in the middle of a forest. It most likely dates back to the Civil War and was a thriving, self-sustaining community. In the first half of the 20th century, this secluded area was perfect for moonshining operations. The last family moved out in 1957 and the structures have been abandoned ever since.
