Description:

Meigs Falls is easily accessible from the Little River Road which runs through the park. Visitors can park their cars in designated areas and take a short hike to the viewing area where they can see the falls cascading down a rocky outcrop. The waterfall is approximately 20 feet tall and is named after Hugh Meigs, a former park ranger who worked in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in the early 20th century. The falls are fed by Little River and are surrounded by lush forests, making it a perfect spot for photography and picnicking.
