Norris Dam

The 4000-acre Norris Reservoir is controlled by this hydroelectric dam. The concrete gravity structure was finished in 1936, spanning the largest reservoir on the Tennessee River. The state park has more than 800 miles of shoreline, is fully equipped with a marina and boat ramp, and offers a variety of recreational activities. (Submitted by Barbara Bates)
