Rainbow Falls GSMNP

Rainbow Falls is a popular waterfall located in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The trail is about 2.7 miles each way and is considered moderately difficult with some steep sections and rocky terrain. Along the way hikers will pass through a beautiful forest of hemlock and rhododendron trees. The trailhead for Rainbow Falls Trail is located at the Rainbow Falls Parking Area which can be accessed via Cherokee Orchard Rd. Visitors should be aware that parking can be limited, especially during peak season and the trail can become crowded.
